What I love about yoga the most is how when I’m practising and teaching I have no idea where the time goes. I’m fully immersed in the moment. The time flies by and I just love that.
My teaching style is influenced by all the amazing teachers I have been a student of. I am grateful to have met many teachers here in Aberdeen and in my most favourite place, Ibiza.
My first ever yoga class is a distant memory, but it was a long time ago. After many many years of practice at various studios and gyms here in Aberdeen I took my first steps into teaching and qualified as a kids yoga teacher in 2015 through Yoga Bananas. I still teach kids yoga sometimes as my other job is as a school teacher. Aka Miss Wiseman.
In summer 2017 I took the plunge and did my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with SYM Yoga in the beautiful town of Cervera, Spain. My teachers Gerry, Anna and Iain were all amazing and taught me well. It was a fabulous time as you can see from my photo.
In 2018 in Ibiza I completed my 60 hour Yin Yoga teacher training and followed this up in 2019 with 75 hours advance Yin Yoga. This was with the amazing Kata Van Dosselar and Erno. Amazing humans who provide wonderful trainings.
From there I was very lucky to begin teaching at Nuffield Health Aberdeen and from there things grew and grew. Now I teach at The Warehouse Health Club, Aberdeen Sports Village, Love Yoga, Sport Aberdeen and most recently at Riverside Chiropractic clinic and the Urban Wellness Hub. I also run my own classes at Ruthrieston Community centre and Self Care Sundays.

More locally I have kept up my trainings with Meadowlark Yoga in Edinburgh for Vinyasa sequencing and Yin modules as well as a short anatomy course.
I am always firstly a student; learning from my fellow teachers and the yogis who come to my class. Everyone has something to bring to the class. Their energy, their vibration and their story.
My classes always start and end with a smile. I’m a lighthearted person and I like to thread joy throughout all my classes, even in the most challenging postures.
I love to teach Hatha Flow, Yin and Self-Care Sundays. In my classes you’ll find opportunities for progressions and regressions depending on how you feel that day. Sometimes I feel like a headstand and other days I just wanna be in childs pose and hug a bolster for 10 minutes.
