About Ali & Wise Little Yogi

My Yoga Training Journey

I attended my first yoga class way back in 2001 when I was in Australia traveling for a year after leaving University.

In 2017 I took the plunge and completed my Yoga Teacher Training at Cervera del Maestre - here's me and Gerry, my first Trainer.

Following my initial training, I dove right into anatomy, creative sequencing , bio mechanics, yin, restorative and vinyasa (flow) yoga and also trained as a Children's Yoga Teacher (with Yoga Bananas).

My specialist area is Menopause Yoga, and I am fully trained and registered with Menopause Yoga.

My Style of Teaching

When you come to any of my classes you can expect a warm welcome, a well structured and carefully planned sequence, options to suit all levels and a sense of being part of a friendly community.  I like to focus on feel good yoga as a form of self care, so no handstands or legs behind your head lol.

Menopause Yoga

These classes are specifically designed by women for women.

Relaxing, calming and designed to support and nourish the symptoms that occur during this time of change in a woman's life.

I believe in dialogue and conversation to help bring this subject into the light and by opening up women's circles in classes and workshops it can be a safe space to share and feel comforted by the warmth and understanding of other women.

Outside Yoga You'll Find Me...

Enjoying learning Spanish, experimental cooking, lifting a few weights, enjoying a good book, planning my next holiday and spending time with my lovely partner Ross and my mum.
